So spring has officially sprung here in New York! Or at least I hope that’s what these 60 degree days we’ve been having recently means.
Either way, all this sunny weather calls for a little mix up of the menu for me!…
If you’re like me, red wine is pretty much the answer to everything.
Stressed out after a long day at work? Time to open up a bottle!
Celebrating a special holiday, promotion, or just the fact that you survived another week? A glass of red wine, it is!
Depressed because of that huge pile of bills on the table? Might as well spend that last $20 in your pocket on a bottle of red wine to make you feel better!…
Up until about this time last year, I was constantly running on fumes. After high school, I went directly to college, started my dietetic internship, and then finished grad school all in a span of about 6 years. I certainly didn’t have any time to spare for “healthy habits.”
Between homework, tests, work, and research projects, it felt like I was stretched pretty thin at all times. But surprisingly, that was okay because I was so used to it.
Then, in May when I graduated, everything pretty much stopped….
I’m a registered dietitian living and working in the Big Apple with my Boston Terrier pups by my side.
Before I wanted to become a dietitian, I wanted to become a writer. Sure, there were plenty of other career aspirations in the mix–CEO, ballerina, and doctor, to name a few–but my love of writing has been a constant in my life.
Last year I finished grad school at NYU with my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition. While I was elated to finally be done with school, I knew I needed a new adventure to set my sights on.
That’s where cooking came in; each week, I would scour my favorite cooking blogs to find inspiration. I started my own food instagram to collect my favorite recipes and catalog my cooking escapades.
Part of the reason I started this blog is to share what’s going on in my kitchen. The recipes I will be sharing are all simple, easy to prepare, tasty, and nutritious.
I also want to shed some light on the most common questions regarding nutrition and health. Unfortunately, too much misinformation circulates through the internet and it can be difficult to distinguish fact from fiction. I aim to help you do just that through this blog.
I know that trying to eat well and lead a healthy lifestyle can be a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be.
Take a look around at the articles, recipes, and information here and we can take the first step towards better health together.
