Regardless of whatever aspect of your health you’re trying to improve, you can almost always benefit from increasing your water intake.
Whether you want to curb cravings, shed a few pounds, or give up sugary beverages, drinking water is key.
But though it might be healthier, drinking water isn’t always as appealing as chugging down a glass of juice or soda. That can make it challenging to meet your daily needs, especially when you’re just getting started.
Believe it or not, however, drinking water doesn’t have to be boring. Infused water is a simple and delicious way to spice up your water and stay hydrated. It’s also a great way to take advantage of the unique health benefits of whatever ingredients you choose to infuse with.
Best of all, you can infuse your water with literally anything. Fruits work especially great as the juices infuse well into the water and can add a more intense flavor. Herbs and vegetables are other awesome options to use in your drink as well.
Make sure to cut your ingredients into smaller pieces to allow the flavors to infuse better. You can also use a fork or muddler to help release the flavor into the water.
Today I wanted to share 3 of my favorite infused water recipes. These are all incredibly easy to make, only requiring two ingredients each. They’re also all delicious and refreshing ways to amp up your water intake. Ready to get started?
Raspberry Pomegranate Infused Water
Raspberry and pomegranate arils add a burst of flavor to this tasty infused water. Both are rich in vitamin C, giving your immune system a mini boost with every sip. These two ingredients are also great because they release their flavors especially well when used in infused water.
Blueberry Citrus Infused Water
Pair the sweetness of blueberries with a splash of citrus flavor and you get this yummy drink. Not only is this water pleasing to the palate, but the contrast between the mandarin oranges and blueberries adds a vibrant contrast that’s also pleasing to the eye.
Blackberry Basil Infused Water
Tart blackberries are coupled with the peppery, aromatic taste of fresh basil in this infused water. Both ingredients are packed with flavor, which makes this an awesome starting place for infused water beginners looking to give their drinks a major upgrade.
